Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals, then execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Repair appliances and equipment, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and various mechanical devices.
- Conduct service technician tasks such as troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems, replacing faulty components, and testing system functionality.
- Assist with construction or upgrade projects by supporting installation efforts and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Lead or support team efforts during emergency repairs or system failures to restore operations swiftly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical wiring for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC systems—including air conditioning—and related equipment repair.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to facility maintenance or upgrades is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in coordinating tasks or mentoring junior team members during maintenance projects.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
