Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive lessons in subjects such as Physics, incorporating curriculum development and instructional design principles.
- Prepare and administer assessments aligned with standardized testing requirements to evaluate student progress.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance classroom engagement and support diverse learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Provide academic advising, tutoring, and mentoring to support individual student needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, instructional strategies, and school initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to parents and administration.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and subject matter advancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant STEM field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
- Proven experience teaching high school students in a classroom setting, including classroom management and lesson planning.
- Strong knowledge of STEM subjects such as Physics.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and online learning platforms.
- Excellent communication skills for effective instruction and collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
- Experience working with diverse learners, including those requiring special education accommodations or Montessori approaches.
- Ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate instructional design principles and research-based teaching strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering an inclusive learning environment.
