What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food & Beverage Bartender position at Mount Southington Ski Area?
We are seeking customer service-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment to join our team as Bartenders. This role is essential to delivering a high-quality guest experience through professional beverage service, friendly interactions, and maintaining a clean, welcoming bar environment.
Bartenders will work closely with front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during high-volume events and daily operations. TIPS certification may be required, and training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
- Greet guests promptly and create a positive, welcoming bar experience
- Engage with guests, make drink recommendations, and ensure satisfaction throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies and sanitizing equipment
- Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service laws and company policies
- Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and end-of-shift reporting
- Assist with setup and breakdown of bar service for daily operations and special events
Qualifications:
- Prior bartending experience preferred; knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails is a plus
- TIPS certification may be required
- Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy environment while maintaining professionalism
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
