Join a dynamic and highly collaborative Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) team at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility within the renowned Fuster Heart Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Physician Assistant with at least one year of critical care or cardiac experience to contribute to the management of complex, high-acuity patients, including post-operative cardiac surgery.
The CTICU PA will work closely with attending physicians, surgeons, APPs, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the immediate post-operative and intensive care setting. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about critical care medicine.
We require:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, Master's preferred
- Complete in-house orientation program
- Current NYS Physician Assistant license/registration and NCCPA certification
- Current unrestricted DEA certificate (Full schedule: 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, 5)
- NYS Infection Control Certificate, BLS, and ACLS certifications
- CTICU preferred; Critical care experience required
- Demonstrated clinical excellence, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU environment
- Proficient in English, Epic, and Microsoft Office
