Position Summary
Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner assumes full responsibility for the care provided to patients by appropriately coordinating hospital resources and personnel. This includes Case Management, Social Work, Home Care, Nursing and Ancillary Services to facilitate patient throughput in a timely fashion. Consideration is given to the patient’s stage of development according to the life cycle.

- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a RN.
- Demonstrates competency as a Nurse Practitioner.
License/Certifications
- New York State Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses
- AHA BLS and ACLS course completion.
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification as an Adult NP or Family NP.
