Position Responsibilities

Join Mount Sinai Medical Center as a Student Nurse Tech! This is an excellent chance for students to gain practical experience in a hospital environment while keeping nursing school as your top priority!

·       Provides basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with bathing, feeding, taking vital signs, and monitoring patients’ physical and behavioral condition.

·       Ensures patient personal and oral hygiene needs are met daily and/or as necessary. Provides catheters care daily and/or as needed. Reports any pertinent observations to RN.

·       Completes assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor/Registered Nurse, including assisting patient with activities of daily living.

·       All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·       Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school and have completed the fundamentals of nursing courses.

·       BLS certification required.

Schedule

·       Minimum of 1, 12 hour shifts per month (Day Shift: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm/ Night Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am)
