The Technology Specialist I acts as the principal technology expert for a major system area of focus utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs.  The candidate will work as part of a cross functional team to:

• Consult with business partners, product owners, third party vendors, and key participants on the areas of focus and develop solutions that meet organizational goals.
• Develop solutions that meet digital experience goals and business requirements, leveraging enterprise applications to their fullest.
• Independently manage analysis of complex needs in areas such as innovative approaches to solutions, available product functionality, and experience portfolio readiness assessment.  

• Leads technical solutioning and development for a targeted area of patient digital access experiences.
• Partners with digital experience product and design professionals to optimize the ideal access experience across channels.
• Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle.
• Lead technical discovery and specification defining process, and skillful application of experience, research and due diligence to the planning and execution of development supporting access goals. Evaluate existing solutions or explore new solutions.
• Performs analysis and system design.  May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and/or integrates purchased solutions.
• Documents, tests, implements and provides on-going support for applications and feature sets for digital access.
• Provides highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies that assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives.
• Acts as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process.
• Leads demos to show the value of the product, project and services to a current or prospective business group.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Masters degree preferred.
• Eight years of diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of six years experience in systems analysis and application program development, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Seven or more years of related experience strongly preferred with in-depth knowledge of associated technology areas that could impact area of responsibility
• Healthcare technology experience preferred
• Epic development experience required; Epic Revenue Cycle (Cadence, Resolute) or MyChart application experience preferred.
• Epic Cadence or MyChart certification required

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $109000 - $163695 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
