Description

We are seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow to work on an externally-funded project aimed at characterizing novel immunocompetent mouse models of cholangiocarcinoma driven by mutant KRASG12D in combination with different co-occurring genetic alterations. The overarching goal of the study is to understand how oncogenic KRAS cooperates with other drivers to shape the immune microenvironment and response to therapies.


Responsibilities

The main aspects of the research include: i) the generation of gene delivery-based mouse models; ii) molecular and immunophenotypic analyses of murine tumors; iii) generation and maintenance of organoid cultures; and iv) in vitro and in vivo drug screenings. The responsibilities include generation of the mouse models above mentioned, characterization of resulting tumor sand establishment of organoids for drug screening. In addition, data analysis and results interpretation are expected


Qualifications

Educational and other Requirements for the position: PhD in cancer biology or related field

Experience Required: experience with animal work (at least 1 year)

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
