Description

The Research Associate will be responsible for data processing, epidemiological analysis, statistical modelling and integrating advanced epidemiological methods of analysis to extract meaningful insights from unstructured clinical data from the Electronic Health Records (EHR) at the Mount Sinai Health Systems. The position will enable to apply epidemiological metrics and predictive values to identify at-risk patient population and interpret the outcomes through the research study.


Responsibilities
  • Design and implement research studies specific to subject matter of research project at the department
  • Conduct research to support organizational goals and mission-oriented objectives
  • Analyze data and interpret results using epidemiological methods of research
  • Manage and analyze large datasets from the EHR using statistical software like SQL, R, Python.
  • Conduct literature review
  • Collaborate with research team members to support ongoing projects 
  • Ensure data confidentiality and integrity by adhering to the institutional and federal guidelines for research involving patients' medical data.
  • Attend and participate in weekly research meetings to discuss project progress and challenges
  • Preparation of Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents and study protocols as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in science or related field required
  • 1 - 2 years of research/laboratory experience

 

 

Compensation Statement

 

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,661.00 - $74,610.87 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
