Description

The Supply Chain Category Manager provides on-going oversight and ensures appropriate controls are in place for the contract administration of major spend categories for products and services, including oversight of the related contracts, vendor relationships, achievement of savings goals and vendor contractual deliverables

Responsibilities

  • Conducts monthly spend and summary invoice reviews of assigned product and service categories, contracts and vendors; reviews price benchmark data to ensure Mount Sinai pricing is competitive to the best range in the database
  • Ensures established category savings targets are achieved. Completes monthly comparisons to established budgets and savings targets against historical trends and reports results. In conjunction with category vendors, develops and implements countermeasures to resolve negative savings trends and budget variances
  • Ensures category vendor compliance with contract deliverables including service levels, savings commitments, contract pricing, new product additions, vendor credentialing requirements and other key contract provisions.
  • Ensures overall spend levels for assigned categories are being achieved. Conducts on-going reviews of utilization trends including usage off-sets from competitive vendors where product conversions have been implemented
  • Conducts reviews and maintains strict controls on the introduction of new products and services not included in the original contract scope for each assigned product and service category major vendor. Ensures the pricing of all approved new products and services is consistent with the overall contract value and benchmarks favorably.
  • Works closely with Sourcing, Value Analysis and engages key stakeholders to provide input and selectively participates in monthly and quarterly business reviews for assigned product and service categories
  • Other duties assigned as required

Qualifications

2 - 5 years of Supplier and/or Strategic Sourcing experience. RN Preferred Contracting experience is a plus to help lead and successfully guide suppliers through MSHS?s procurement processes. Demonstrated leadership and partnership abilities within business communities. Microsoft Office Suite Skills including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, and Outlook. (Including experience with pivot tables, data analysis, databases, etc.)

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $116718 - $175078 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
