Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58661 - $170000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
The Instructor will participate in research studies focused on liver cancer initiation and liver cancer maintenance. Particularly, focusing on how genetic alterations contribute to tumorigenesis and its relationship with the gut microbiome.
Responsibilities
- Design, organize and conduct the experiments utilizing sophisticated mouse models for cancer.
- RNAi and CRISPR technologies, valuable human cancer samples, and genetic profiling as key tools.
- Mentoring and assist students and younger fellows in the laboratory.
- Responsible for organizing/maintaining lab equipment and lab environment.
- Compose scientific literature and deliver compelling presentations.
Educational and other Requirements for the position:
- PhD in Biomedicine/Science.
- Postdoctoral Research (5 years)
- Proven expertise in pre-clinical mouse models of liver cancer.
