Position Overview
The Director of Administration will oversee all administrative, financial, facilities, and communication operations of the church, ensuring that daily activities support our mission and core values. This role reports to the Senior Pastor and church leaders to foster an environment of excellence and stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise office staff, finances, administration, facilities, communications, and information technology.
· Maintain accurate church records and ensure compliance with church, state, and federal guidelines.
· Oversee financial management, including budgeting, reporting, audits, and contract administration.
· Coordinate communication systems and technology to support ministry needs.
· Manage facility usage, maintenance, and relationships with service providers.
· Serve as principal advisor to the Senior Pastor on church business operations.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Religion, Biblical Studies, or Business Administration required; advanced degrees (M.Div., Th.M., MBA) preferred.
· Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in church administration, staff management, and ministry development.
· Demonstrated commitment to Christian faith and servant leadership.
· Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work effectively with a diverse congregation and church leadership.
Additional Requirements
· Completion of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church New Member Orientation and active membership in good standing.
· Appointment by Senior Pastor and confirmation by the congregation.
· Willingness to travel locally as needed.
Work Environment
This position is based in a professional office and church setting, with occasional support for outdoor events and external visits.
