Mount Mercy University campus is seeking a dedicated and dependable Custodian to join our Facilities Department. As a member of our custodial staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness across assigned areas of campus. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and sanitary environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and effectively to custodial emergencies.
- Ensure assigned areas are cleaned and maintained daily.
- Promote and adhere to all safety standards for your own safety and that of others using the spaces you clean.
- Exhibit professionalism in conduct, attire, and attitude.
- Complete assigned tasks and additional duties as requested by the supervisor.
- Foster respectful and courteous customer service relationships with faculty, staff, students, and fellow team members.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail

Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
