What are the responsibilities and job description for the Individual Assistant - Intensive position at Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District?
Jericho Elementary School is seeking a full-time, energetic, and compassionate Individual Assistant to support elementary-aged students with diverse academic, behavioral, and emotional needs through the end of the 2025–2026 school year, with the opportunity to continue into the 2026–2027 school year.
The Individual Assistant will work closely with special educators and classroom teachers to provide targeted support and help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting with instructional activities, supporting student behavior and emotional regulation, and contributing to a positive classroom experience for all learners.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating with a creative, dedicated team of general and special education professionals and is passionate about making a meaningful impact in students’ lives. Basic Spanish fluency is a plus!
Qualified candidates should enjoy working with and engaging with students, have the ability to communicate effectively and work independently. Strengths must include the ability to build and foster positive rapport with students, families, and colleagues. Candidates must be reliable, have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand and/or walk for extended periods of time to support students.
