Quality Engineer - Waterbury CT - Base $70-80k Bonus
The Quality Engineer is a key member of the team, and will be supporting product quality and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities
- Support daily quality activities on the production floor to ensure products meet established standards
- Help investigate customer complaints by working with production and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Assist in maintaining and using measurement systems (optical equipment, gauges, etc.)
- Collect and review production data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
- Support process improvements and validation activities alongside engineering and quality teams
- Help maintain documentation, including reports, procedures, and change records
- Provide basic training and support to production teams on quality tools and processes
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal procedures
- Participate in ongoing quality and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering
- Experience with quality tools such as SPC, basic statistics, or root cause analysis
- Familiarity with measurement equipment or inspection methods
- Internship or project experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze data and clearly communicate findings
- Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Willingness to work on the production floor and use required PPE
- Ability to stand, walk, and move equipment as needed
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
