Quality Engineer - Waterbury CT - Base $70-80k Bonus

The Quality Engineer is a key member of the team, and will be supporting product quality and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a well established organization, wants to apply and develop their technical skills and enjoys a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Support daily quality activities on the production floor to ensure products meet established standards
  • Help investigate customer complaints by working with production and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Assist in maintaining and using measurement systems (optical equipment, gauges, etc.)
  • Collect and review production data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Support process improvements and validation activities alongside engineering and quality teams
  • Help maintain documentation, including reports, procedures, and change records
  • Provide basic training and support to production teams on quality tools and processes
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal procedures
  • Participate in ongoing quality and continuous improvement initiatives


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering
  • Experience with quality tools such as SPC, basic statistics, or root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with measurement equipment or inspection methods
  • Internship or project experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze data and clearly communicate findings
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Willingness to work on the production floor and use required PPE
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move equipment as needed


Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
