Assistant Bank Branch Manager, Southbridge, MA | Full-Time/Direct Hire, 1st Shift

We’re looking for a driven, customer-focused Assistant Bank Branch Manager to help lead branch operations, support our team, and deliver an exceptional client experience for a top client in Southbridge MA!
You’ll act as the operational backbone of the branch—overseeing daily activities, ensuring compliance, and stepping in as branch leader when needed. You’ll play a key role in coaching staff, supporting sales initiatives, and maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
Lead Branch Operations
- Ensure compliance & Risk Management
- Support Sales & Customer Service - Support branch sales initiatives and referral programs and reinforce cross-selling efforts while maintaining compliance standards.
- Participate in community engagement activities as assigned.
Cash & Vault Supervision
- Supervise vault management, ATM balancing, and teller drawer controls.
- Monitor cash levels, order currency/coin as needed, and oversee secure shipments.
- Investigate and document cash discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all cash handling and security protocols.
What we're looking for:
- 5 years of progressive branch banking experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, with at least 3 years of customer service and sales experience.
- Strong track record in coaching, managing, and developing staff to achieve performance goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant banking certifications or coursework, including NMLS registration and Notary Public certification (preferred).
- Strong proficiency with banking software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- High accuracy in transaction processing and account management, ensuring compliance with security policies.
