Mt Juliet Christian Academy, as a ministry of First Baptist Church Mt Juliet, has outlined the following responsibilities for this role:
Student supervision: Actively monitor students during before and after-school hours, ensuring their safety and appropriate behavior in various settings.
Behavior management: Address disruptive behavior promptly and consistently, utilizing positive reinforcement techniques to maintain a positive group dynamic.
Check-in/check-out procedures: Ensure proper student sign-in and sign-out processes at the beginning and end of each after-school session.
Communication with parents: Regularly update parents on their child's progress, address concerns, and maintain open lines of communication
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build positive relationships with children of diverse backgrounds, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Effective communication: Clear and concise communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Organizational skills: Efficiently manage multiple tasks and maintain a structured program schedule.
- Problem-solving abilities: Address challenges and conflicts among students constructively.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust activities and plans based on student needs and changing situations
- Education: High school diploma required, associate's degree or bachelor's degree in education, child development, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Experience working with children in a group setting, preferably in an after-school program.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification may be required.
- Required: Background check and TBI Fingerprinting clearance to work with children.
Salary : $14 - $16
