Residential Staff - Designated Support Staff (FEMALE HOME)

Mount Jubilee Ministries (MJM) was established in 2005 as a non-profit 501(C)(3) faith-based organization to partner with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and our community to help provide opportunities for productive living. MJM is a grassroots organization commissioned to provide alternative programs and services for the mild to moderate teen and adult I/DD community including a weeklong camp, day programs and newly launched residential experiences.
Job Type: Part time (Every other weekend Friday-Sunday 8a-8p and overnight every other weekend; a stipend will be paid for overnight shifts where residents will primarily be sleeping) Full-time positions at MJM receive benefits and paid-time-off.
- Active duty hours: Every other weekend, Friday–Sunday, approximately 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM (hands-on support for residents)
- Overnight presence: Every other weekend, Friday-Sunday 9:00 PM – 8:00 AM (sleeping hours, you will be on-call and available if needed—though residents rarely require any assistance during the night) You must be present at the house through out each night, but you're able to sleep during overnight hours
Job Description: MJM has established a residential home to provide long-term and temporary care for adults with special needs (mild to moderate IDD) and to offer caregivers much-needed breaks. This innovative model addresses three primary challenges:
- Providing on-demand, convenient access to trusted, certified caregivers.
- Offering a third-party residence to maintain caregiver stability and privacy.
- Having a space that facilitates a safe, fun, and memorable stay for clients.
The residential host is responsible for creating a safe and engaging culture & environment, built on the experience clients have come to expect from Mount Jubilee Ministries and His Path Day program.
This position will be responsible for the care of 2-3 full-time residents and 1 possible respite guest, on occasion. Respite stays are currently available to MJM's network of families served through His Path Day program and Camp Jubilee, ensuring solid relationships with respite guest's guardians and family.
Residential Host Responsibilities:
· Manage scheduling for short-term respite stays
· Conduct needs assessments for residents and respite guests
· Maintain on-site presence and engage guests during waking hours
· Oversee purchasing of supplies and groceries
· Prepare daily meals (breakfast & dinner) and help pack lunches
· Assist with maintaining linens and cleaning common areas and guest rooms
· Track maintenance needs and coordinate with MJM
· Acquire and maintain required certifications with strategic affiliate providers
· Plan appropriate activities for residents and guests
· Manage overall household environment
· Provide interpersonal skills training and relationship development support
· Build community living skills through shopping, recreation, banking, Bible study, and other activities
· Arrange physical activity and wellness opportunities for residents
· Provide transportation for skill-building activities
· Assist with personal care tasks including eating, bathing, and dressing (if needed)
· Encourage maintenance of previously taught skills
· Assist with meal preparation and housekeeping tasks
· Monitor residents' health status and physical condition
· Perform other duties as assigned
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Two-year degree preferred in a human services or related field
Recommended Experience: 2 years of experience with individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) population
Position Requirements: All training will be provided by MJM prior to providing care, if candidate is not already certified. CPR certification, driver's license, satisfactory background & driving record check, Bloodborne Pathogen Certification, NCI Prevention Training and Medication Administration Training.
Compensation: Minimum $17.50 an hour during active duty hours. $50 stipend for each over-night.
