Key Responsibilities
- Lead the software roadmap and execution plan aligned to major program deliverables
- Oversee a multidisciplinary engineering team (software, hardware, test) building integrated systems
- Establish and maintain best practices in software design, development, testing, and deployment
- Manage and mentor engineers while driving hands-on technical work as needed
- Integrate third-party systems, APIs, and sensors across a dynamic, multi-domain environment
- Track and analyze metrics for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Support field testing and system deployment (approx. 10–15% travel)
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customer-facing engagements
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in software or systems engineering
- 8 years building production-quality software (C/C preferred)
- Strong experience leading engineering teams in an agile environment
- Background in software–hardware integration or complex, real-world systems
- Active Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading customer-facing, mission-critical programs
- Familiarity with simulation environments (SITL/HITL)
- Background in cybersecurity or multi-network systems
