Job Description

We are seeking a Migration Toolkit for Applications (MTA) Senior Consultant to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client in Orlando, FL. This is a 100% onsite role for approximately 1,680 hours. The consultant will play a key role in modernizing and migrating legacy applications using Red Hat’s Migration Toolkit for Applications (MTA), ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable delivery aligned with DoD compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead application modernization and migration efforts using Red Hat Migration Toolkit for Applications (MTA).
• Assess, analyze, and refactor legacy applications for deployment on modern cloud or containerized environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define migration strategies, timelines, and implementation plans.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting during all phases of the migration lifecycle.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices to support maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure all solutions meet DoD security, compliance, and performance requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Red Hat MTA, application refactoring, and modernization projects.
• Strong background in Java, JBoss EAP, WebLogic, or WebSphere application environments.
• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with DoD environments and associated security standards (RMF, STIGs, etc.).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative onsite environment.
