Description
We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated assistant cross-country coach. We strive to hire individuals who are determined to see all students succeed, cognizant of their mindset, champions of equity, and are results-oriented. Applicants must be committed to continuous improvement and skilled at fostering mutually respectful relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members. We look for individuals whose creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm, and professionalism are contagious.
The qualified individual should possess a sound knowledge of the sport of Cross Country, strong communication skills, a dedicated work ethic, a natural rapport with students, and the desire to excel and grow in the profession.
As a cross-country coach, the qualified candidate will adhere to school district, Badger Conference, and WIAA rules and regulations.

Qualifications
A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate and possess:
Previous coaching experience preferred.
A coaching and learning philosophy that includes thoughts on the role of athletics in an educational setting, winning and losing, competition, players, school, and community.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to supervise the team with respect to schedules and competitions. Daily practices begin on August 19th. During the school year, practices will be held after school on weekdays. Weekend invites are also part of the schedule.
Dedication to student eligibility, grades, code of conduct, and team safety.
The ability to work diligently with the coaching staff and Athletic Department to assist all student-athletes within the athletic program to maximize their academic as well as athletic potential.
