Job Description:
Mount Holyoke College's Facilities Management department is looking for a Stockroom Supervisor to join our team of 140 dedicated professionals. This is a "working supervisor" role, meaning you won’t just be behind a desk—you’ll be the heartbeat of our campus operations, overseeing more than 2,000,000 square feet of property and 60 buildings. From managing high-stakes inventory for our trades teams to coordinating logistics for major events like Commencement, The Stockroom Supervisor will ensure our campus remains safe, stocked, and sustainable.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Stockroom & Inventory Management
- Oversee the stockroom, warehouse, and loading dock, ensuring safe storage, clear egress, and organized workflows.
- Purchase and manage inventory for all trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Grounds, etc.) and process related invoices and procurement card transactions.
- Maintain inventory via FM software and lead the annual fiscal year-end reconciliation.
- Manage the lifecycle of campus furniture, including ordering, installation, maintenance, and routine safety inspections.
- Manage all FM shipping/receiving and coordinate equipment deliveries for other campus departments.
- Provide logistical coordination for campus events (including Commencement and Reunions), managing staff schedules and equipment setups/breakdowns.
- Deliver cleaning supplies across campus and manage the campus-wide laundry program.
- Oversee hazardous/universal waste areas and chemical inventories, ensuring compliance with OSHA, SDS labeling, and MHC Hazard Communication standards.
- Manage trash, recycling, and fuel/diesel supplies, including data collection for environmental reporting.
- Lead the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program and assist with various facility inspections and regulatory compliance.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
- 5–7 years in campus operations, warehouse management, or inventory control.
- Working knowledge of trade products (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) and proficiency in inventory tracking software and spreadsheets.
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, vendors, and contractors.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a DOT physical (maintaining a DOT medical card).
- OSHA 10-hour General Industry, Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), RCRA Hazardous Waste, and DOT Hazardous Materials certifications (or the ability to obtain them).
- Ability to safely lift heavy materials independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a higher education or university setting.
- Natural leadership skills with a track record of directing others effectively.
Hiring Range: $35.02 - $39.38
