Position Purpose:
Histology Technician provides the technical component for anatomical pathology (surgical pathology, cytopathology, autopsy, etc.)

Position Purpose:
Histology Technician provides the technical component for anatomical pathology (surgical pathology, cytopathology, autopsy, etc.)
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: High school graduate or General Equivalency Degree (GED) required or Bachelors Degree.
- Licensure / Certification: Histology Technician, HT (ASCP) certificate or HT (ASCP) eligible preferred. American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Histology Technician (HT)certified or eligible, and HLT certified or eligible.
- Experience: Previous histology experience or one year formal training will be considered.
- Effective Communication Skills
- Manual dexterity absolutely necessary, as well as ability to lift supplies.
- Must possess basic computer knowledge
- Flexibility to work additional shifts as needed
- Ability to utilize different histology instrumentation including maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to respond to change
- Ability to work independently
- Prefer some Immunohistochemistry experience
