PRN Hospice Aide- Evenings and overnights

Mount Carmel House is a two-bed comfort care home that provides individual, compassionate care for terminally ill adults.

Resident care aides are responsible for providing end of life care for our residents and support to their families.

We are in need of a PRN resident care aide able to work evenings (3p-11p) or overnights (11p-7a).

Responsibilities include:

· Assist residents with daily personal routines, including bathing, dressing, grooming, repositioning, eating, and toileting

· Cook meals for residents

· Provide companionship to residents and their families and establish a trusting relationship with them

· Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a nurse

· Assist with end-of-life symptom management under the supervision of a nurse

· Ensure the residents bedroom and bathroom are clean, safe and well organized

· Ensure the house is clean, safe and well organized

· Document resident activity, intake, output, medication administrations, and any changes in resident status

· Perform any reasonable requests that residents and their families have

· Perform post-mortem care.

Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation.

Must be able to work both independently and effectively as a team.

A minimum of 1 year caregiving experience. Hospice experience preferred.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
