Twice voted "Best of the Berkshires," we are sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013 and maintain a mission-based environment for our staff and residents.
About the Role - We are looking for Director of Nursing Services - DON.
- $117K to $125K based on skills and experience.

Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and currently licensed as an RN - Registered Nurse in Massachusetts. BSN degree preferred. Two (2) years experience as a Director of Nursing required. Five (5) years experience in Long-Term Care required.
Responsibilities -
- Responsible for the development of nursing service objectives and performance standards.
- Responsible for nursing service compliance to federal, state and local regulations.
- Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Assess resident care and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care.
- Report problems to Administrator, Medical Director and conduct daily resident rounds.
- Direct and supervise scheduling of employees.
- Assist in recruiting, conduct counseling interviews and initiate disciplinary action as necessary.
- Prepare employee performance evaluations and recommend pay, role and other HR changes.
- Direct and implement nursing service educational programs.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the nursing service budget.
- Direct allocation of nursing service equipment and supplies.
- Take inquiries for resident placement as assigned by the Admissions Office.
- Coordinate resident admissions, transfers and discharges.
- Assess resident responses to medications and treatments and make appropriate recommendations.
