What You'll Do
- Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Assist with play-based learning activities, classroom routines, and hands-on experiences.
- Help children develop social skills, independence, and positive relationships.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions.
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and maintaining a clean, organized space.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers.
- Follow all health, safety, and Minnesota childcare licensing requirements.
What We're Looking For
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with preschool-aged children.
- Someone who is dependable, flexible, and a team player.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field
- Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or child care setting
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to meet Minnesota DCYF background study requirements and complete required training.
