Part Time Bus Driver

Mount Angel Towers is seeking a part-time bus driver for our Senior Living Community. The Bus Driver works directly with the Activities Director. They will play a critical role as they interact with Residents and drive them to activities, shopping or appointments. The ideal candidate will have a Class C driver’s license with a passenger endorsement and a minimum of two years driving experience.

Specific Responsibilities:

Ensure the Residents are delivered safely and on time to scheduled events:

· Have a positive customer service attitude, including greeting residents, learning their names, and addressing them appropriately

· Contact the Residents to remind them of their appointments if they are late

· Have the correct bus out front and ready to go at designated times

· Assist the Residents with getting scooters on/off the bus using the lift

· Load and unload walkers for Residents

· Report any medical or behavioral incidents immediately to the Activities Manager and/or Executive Director

Keep the busses in good working order:

· Complete pre-trip inspection paperwork prior to each departure

· Drive safely at all times (in accordance with Oregon’s safe driving laws)

· Report needed repairs or adjustments immediately to the Activities Manager

· Coordinates with the Activities Manager and call to schedule needed repairs

· Follows all local and state motor vehicle laws, rules, and regulations

· Notify the Activities Manager and Executive Director of any accident, incident, or damage to buses

· Carry current ODL and CDL and know the location of insurance information in all busses

Assist with errands for Mount Angel Towers:

· Complete bank deposits and returns deposit slips to the Office Manager

· Pick up/drop off supplies and equipment, as needed, from different locations

Mount Angel Towers reserves the right to revise the job description and require other tasks to be performed if the needs of this position changes. This position requires the Bus Driver to be seated for extended periods of time, with leg extended and pressing on pedals. This job requires lifting up to 25lbs.
