Mount Aloysius College, repeatedly recognized by ModernThink as a “Great College to Work For,” is searching for qualified candidates to join our interdisciplinary Science and Mathematics Department at the start of the Fall 2026 semester, in Dubois, PA.
This open faculty position offers a regular, full-time, 9-month appointment, with primary teaching obligations during the core academic year from August – May. The successful candidate is responsible for a workload of 24 credit hours or equivalent per academic year, and will teach undergraduate courses in the Science curricula, specifically Anatomy & Physiology (A&P) and Microbiology.
The Science and Mathematics Department at Mount Aloysius College is composed of eight faculty members who cover the disciplines of statistics, mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics.
Faculty are expected to have a regular presence on campus (in DuBois) to engage with students both inside and outside the classroom. Therefore, this position is required to be onsite (in DuBois) 5 days per week; and to participate in meetings/committee work, advise students academically, hold regular office hours, and assist with Departmental initiatives, College events and other activities.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Biology or closely related field required. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience teaching A&P, Microbiology, and related courses at the collegiate level strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of applicable teaching experience and education will be considered. Experience using Canvas Learning Management System, or similar LMS preferred. Must have the ability to remain flexible, employ a range of teaching methods, and effectively incorporate technology into the teaching/learning process. Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, organizational and record-keeping skills all necessary. The ideal candidate is committed to applying active learning strategies in the classroom and utilizing online/hybrid teaching modalities.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time; all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of their application.
