What are the responsibilities and job description for the GOLF COURSE RANGER position at MOUNT AIRY CASINO RESORT?
Position Overview:
A Golf Course Ranger will enforce a variety of daily play standards, especially when busy. A golf course ranger will keep the pace of play throughout the day under direction of the Club house Manager. All duties performed are to be performed within the guidelines of the Mount Airy Casino Resort policies and procedures, internal control standards and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
Essential Job Function:
- Assuring pace of play is completed in a 4.5 hour time frame/ 5 hours if cart path only.
- Assure players are obeying all daily golf cart restrictions.
- Assure players are having a great experience on the golf course.
- Assist when a golf cart breaks down on the course to get the guest a new cart asap.
- Help with any trash laying on the course and wood lined areas daily.
- Staying in constant communication with Pro shop via walkie talkie regarding any slow play issues or situations on the course.
- Helps in a variety of locations to assist players with tee shots on blind hole areas.
- Promotes positive guest, employee and public relations at all times.
- Assists in other projects and handles job tasks as deemed appropriate.
- Attends meetings as necessary.
- Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Essential Requirements:
- Must be able to perform each of the essential functions and responsibilities satisfactorily.
- Must be a minimum 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required..
- Possesses excellent customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal qualities.
- Flexible to work any scheduled shifts and/or days, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Gaming License, if necessary.

- Must be able to handle exposure to chemicals.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must have oral and aural acuity and ability to respond to cues.
