Position Overview:
The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for selling food and beverages (Snacks) to Golf Course patrons, set up and packs snacks on the Beverage Cart according to specifications and standards. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of Mount Airy Casino Resort’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Sells food and beverages (Snacks) to Golf Course patrons, set up and packs snacks on the Beverage Cart according to specifications and standards.
- Complete customer payment transactions as outlined in cash and charge procedures.
- Records all tips collected from credit cards and complimentaries.
- Keeps work station area neat and clean, picks up trash, glasses, etc.
- Informs shift change of unique situations involving guests.
- Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
- Describe all snack items; and prices as needed. Work within policy to accommodate guest’s requests.
- Performs set-up and closing side-work; stock Beverage Cart as necessary; etc.
- Alert Management of any service and/or safety issues.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Attend all necessary training meetings.
- Assist in other projects, as directed.

Education/Experience:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High school diploma or its equivalency preferred.
- Knowledge of cash, credit card and complimentary transactions desired.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Other Skills/Abilities:
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with the other cooks, wait staff or supervisors.
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when preparing meals from a recipe, when assisting in the scheduling of the kitchen staff, or when keeping track of inventory.
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances are used frequently.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
