Business Process Analyst 3 (HYBRID)
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Business Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. This full-time contract Business Analyst 3 role supports the Transmission Infrastructure Asset Management team, partnering with stakeholders to analyze business operations, gather and evaluate requirements, conduct gap analysis, document current and future-state processes, and recommend process improvements and solution alternatives. The position also supports operational strategy, process development, change management, and business systems initiatives to help drive organizational alignment, process consistency, and operational efficiency across asset management programs.
This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits!
Pay Rate: $58.00 - $63.00/hr. DOE.
Location: Vancouver, WA
On-Site: 1-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities for Business Process Analyst:
- Lead cross-functional workshops and working sessions to identify process improvement opportunities, facilitate problem-solving, and drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Analyze business operations, organizational maturity, workflows, and value streams to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, process mapping, use cases, user stories, and workflow documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis, impact assessments, and lessons learned reviews to support operational and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain project and business analysis deliverables, including process flows, workflow maps, requirements documentation, test plans, change management plans, and project tracking tools.
- Support project planning, implementation, testing, and change management activities to ensure successful delivery of business and system solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, SMEs, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions while balancing usability, performance, and operational goals.
- Prepare presentations, recommendations, strategic roadmaps, and reporting materials to support leadership decision-making and organizational alignment.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, resolve conflicting priorities, and maintain strong client and team relationships throughout project lifecycles.
- Support documentation standardization, business continuity efforts, training materials, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
Requirements for Business Process Analyst:
- BA in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree:
- Bachelor’s degree: 8 years relevant experience
- Associate’s degree: 10 years relevant experience
- No degree: 12 years relevant experience
- 5 years of experience leading process improvement and optimization initiatives across multiple business units.
- 2 years: Visio (or similar flowcharting tools), MS Project, and SharePoint.
- Experience in business analysis, change management, strategic business partnership, or related functions, with progressively technical responsibilities.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder interview skills, including requirements gathering and process design workshops.
