Maintenance Resource Lead

Fabricator - 1st Shift

Maintenance Department

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Location: Battle Creek, MI

• Issues, receives, and stores hand tools and other equipment & Maintains records of tool use
• Keeps an inventory of tools, inspects tools and equipment for wear or defects, and order new equipment when needed
• Must demonstrate the ability to work in Microsoft Office and MRP/MES Systems
• Must demonstrate knowledge of MRO and repetitive purchasing
• Keep accurate records of tool locations, machine parts and inventory, schedule repairs and maintenance
• Ability to lift 30lbs and be able to complete requisitions for tools and machine parts
• Assisting Buyer with purchases of all MRO products for building
• Must maintenance Preventative Maintenance planning and assistance
• Assist/guide maintenance team in maintaining maintenance budget and cost control
• Planning duties (40% on the production floor).
• Storeroom duties (40%)
• Owns the “parts kitting” process
• Owns the Maintenance Checkbook
• 5S of the storeroom
• Vision, organization and implementation of a World Class Storeroom

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to perform work responsibilities safety and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Must have less than or equal to 2.5 attendance points and no corrective actions within the past 6 months
• Basic computer skills necessary
• Overtime (hours worked beyond 40 per week) is a required component of this role and is considered an essential job function.
• Must be able to use a forklift, pallet jack and electric pallet jack.
• Valid driver’s license for driving to get parts/material
• Availability on off-shift hours for emergency PO’s or parts pick-up
