MOTT ST is looking for a food-loving, hospitality-focused Front of House Manager to join our leadership team at our award-winning Wicker Park restaurant.
For more than 13 years, Mott St has been a staple of Chicago's dining scene, known for bold Asian-American flavors, energetic service, and a strong commitment to hospitality. This is an opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to take ownership of daily FOH & Bar operations, develop a talented team, and help shape the guest experience at one of Chicago's most recognized independent restaurants.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily business operations for the restaurant (FOH & Bar)
- Lead the training, development, and ongoing evaluation of FOH & Bar staff
- Maintain Mott St's professional image and high standards of service, quality, & product
- Develop & implement plans for growth (marketing, staff training, etc.)
- Guest relations
- Manage & oversee ordering / inventory
- Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, & safety of the facilities / staff
- Report accurate staff hours / tips to payroll
Requirements
- 2 years of management experience in a full-service restaurant
- Strong foundational knowledge of food, beverage, and full-service restaurant operations
- Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail
- Genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Proficiency with Toast and OpenTable, including backend dashboards and functionality
- Open availability and flexibility with scheduling; nights and weekends required, average of 50 hours/week
- Teachable, curious, and excited to continue learning and developing as a leader
- Ability to remain composed, organized, and solutions-oriented in a high-volume environment
