Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Collaborate directly with customers to develop custom filtration, purification, and flow control solutions.
- Commercial Interface: Partner with commercial teams to support customers requiring technical guidance across Mott’s product portfolio.
- Cost Estimation: Develop accurate, timely cost estimates to support commercial decision-making.
- Market Insight: Capture customer application insights to inform and shape long-term product strategy.
- Coaching & Mentorship: Support the technical and professional development of engineers within the organization.
- Recommending solutions with incomplete or evolving customer requirements.
- Operating with limited published data related to porous metals and advanced applications.
- Coordinating across multiple functions to deliver fast, accurate responses.
- Managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent customer requests.
- Supporting industry-leading customers at the forefront of technological innovation.
- Engage customers within 6 hours of RFQ submission.
- Deliver technical solutions within 5 days of request.
- Achieve cost estimates within ±10% accuracy.
- Influence >$5M in bookings with above-average EBITDA contribution.
- 5 years in a technical, customer-facing role and 10 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Semiconductor industry experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges or launch new products.
- Expertise in gas contamination control, fluid dynamics, and materials science.
- Familiarity with semiconductor fabs, equipment, and industry standards preferred.
- Ability to connect technical solutions to business and financial outcomes.
- Strong capability to synthesize complex technical information and present to customer audiences at all levels.
- Strong customer focus with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective mentor and developer of technical talent.
- Data-driven thinker able to recognize and act on customer and market trends.
- Self-starter with strong prioritization and execution skills.
- Clear, confident communicator (written and verbal).
- Sense of urgency, analytical mindset, and bias for action.
