Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing highly reliable hardware for our internally-designed embedded systems as well as associated test harnesses and fixtures
- Taking ownership of your designs including prototyping bring-up and verification.
- Establish system and application requirements, and evaluate components and IC's for suitability in your design
- Provide electrical design support throughout all product design phases, from conception to final mass production.
- Work with internal and external teams to review specifications, schematics, and board layout.
- Work with QA team to design, develop and execute test plans for life cycle, unit and regression testing
- Work cross functionally with mobile, backend, hardware and firmware teams to develop new products and features
- Work with customer support and other software teams as a technical resource for any customer issues and patch bugs as needed
- Support internal and external manufacturing efforts for product quality control and bring up
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the latest technology, trends, and techniques in electrical engineering
- Exposure to antenna design and tuning
- Comfortable hacking together firmware in a pinch
- 3 years designing electronics for hardware
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes
- Not afraid to test and debug
- Familiarity with Eagle
- Results-oriented, dependable, and accountable
- Willingness to work autonomously
- Highly organized, can juggle competing priorities and tasks
- Willing to learn and share your knowledge with others
