Responsibilities
- Read job cards to determine job status, work authorizations/limitations, estimate, description of problems, and/or expected serviceability.
- Analyze various manufacturers' schematic diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and test electronic components to board level, using various methods and testing equipment.
- Repair and/or replace electronic components to board level, including but not limited to: diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, other printed circuit components, etc.
- Verify repairs using various start-up testing procedures.
- Operate specialized equipment, including but not limited to: oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, high-voltage insulation testers, AC/DC volt-ohm-milliammeters, clamp-on ammeters, frequency generators, signal generators, capacitance meters, various test panels, soldering equipment, infrared scanning equipment, various kinds of handheld power and nonpower tools, etc.
- Complete required forms on computer system for each job accurately.
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with AC variable frequency drives and DC drives
- Basic understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to understand, perform, and retain skill-related training, and operational and safety procedures
- Comfortable working with customers
- Good computer skills
- Provide tools and toolbox
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Willing to be on call one weekend every 4 weeks
- PLC experience, preferred but not required
