Warehouse Associate 7 am to 3:30 pm Mon- Fri

Job Description:

MCI is a 46-year-old industry leader in the design, manufacture, and assembly of electrical controls, electrical enclosures, irrigation pumps and controls, municipal and commercial pump stations, water purification systems and design-to-order metal fabrications. We serve a variety of industries with standard and custom products including water pumping, oil production-drill and refining controls, wastewater treatment, conveying, baggage conveying, handling, process control, and more!

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
• Verify shipment contents against bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping documents.
• Inspect freight for damage and report discrepancies immediately.
• Sort, stage, and organize freight for outbound and inbound shipments.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Secure loads and ensure freight is properly prepared for transport.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock and warehouse environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Assist with inventory counts and warehouse duties as needed.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors.
• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
• Move materials throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment (if certified)
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper storage and cycle counts
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Keep warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Assist with inventory counts and warehouse projects as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification upon hire).
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and inventory labels.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous dock, warehouse, freight, or shipping experience preferred but not required.
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification).
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet shipping deadlines.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  
  

Prior experience working in a warehouse or parts department is preferred but not required.

Skills & Requirements:

• The ability to lift 50- 75 lbs.
• The ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day
• The appropriate candidate can work efficiently to meet standards and work requirements as needed.
• Attention to detail.
• A willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear the supplied/appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• The desire to be a team player is to perform tasks that may not be in your specific job description, take the initiative when appropriate, and be open to constructive criticism.
• The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable working around moving equipment and freight traffic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse and production environment.
