Job Summary:
The Motorcycle Service Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a dedication to getting the job done right the first time. While not directly interacting with customers, the Technician plays a key role in supporting sales by identifying additional service opportunities and communicating them to the service team. A strong focus on fostering a positive, service-driven environment is essential, ensuring that every action contributes to both customer satisfaction and dealership success.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs efficiently and accurately, in compliance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
- Attend factory-sponsored training classes and be familiar with factory technical bulletins
- Road-test vehicles upon completion of repairs when necessary
- Ensure that customers’ units are kept clean and protected from cosmetic damage
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste
Qualifications:
- Strong passion for powersports with specialized knowledge of motorcycles, especially Indian and Triumph brands
- Experience with Lightspeed or similar point-of-sale software, or the ability to learn new systems quickly Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Able to bend, lift and twist if needed
Requirements:
- Must supply and maintain your own tools
- Clean driving record, no blemishes
- Experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles
- Current valid driver’s license
