Sales Consultant / Foundation Inspector

Job Description

Motmot Foundation Repair is hiring a Sales Consultant / Foundation Inspector to serve homeowners across San Antonio, Austin, and the Central Texas I-35 corridor.

This is not a high-pressure sales role. Our process is inspection-first. The right person will inspect homes, take elevation readings, document visible foundation symptoms, explain findings clearly, and recommend the right next step: repair, drainage correction, monitoring, or no work at all.

You will be the customer’s first real point of contact with Motmot, so professionalism, honesty, communication, and follow-through matter. We are looking for someone who can build trust, explain technical information in simple terms, and represent the company with integrity.

Motmot is a family-owned foundation repair company focused on measured inspections, safe job sites, clean work, and long-term stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Perform free foundation inspections for homeowners and property owners.
• Take and document floor elevation readings.
• Inspect visible symptoms such as cracks, sticking doors, uneven floors, separation, drainage problems, soil gaps, and signs of settlement.
• Take clear photos and notes for project records, engineers, and crews. Explain findings to customers in plain English.
• Prepare clear recommendations and estimates.
• Follow up with customers before, during, and after the project.
• Set honest expectations about repair scope, schedule, permits, engineering, warranty, and job-site process.
• Maintain strong communication with the office, project managers, and field crews.
• Represent Motmot professionally at homes, inspections, and appointments.

Qualifications

• Consultative sales experience preferred.
• Foundation repair, construction, concrete, home inspection, real estate, roofing, plumbing, or restoration experience is a plus.
• Able to communicate clearly with homeowners. Comfortable learning how to read and explain floor elevation surveys.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record. Reliable transportation. Strong phone, text, and follow-up skills.
• Organized, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Able to inspect homes, walk job sites, take photos, and document findings.
• OSHA 10 is a plus; training may be provided.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
