We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Client Billing Specialist to support the billing and invoicing process for our benefit administration clients. This role requires strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, and the ability to analyze and reconcile complex billing data. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates confidently with clients, and maintains exceptional accuracy in high-volume, detail-driven work.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO IN THIS ROLE:
•Lead claims billing functions, ensuring accurate reconciliation, invoicing, shared savings calculations, and process optimization.
•Manage RX/PBM billing and reconcile pharmacy claims and shared savings.
•Support stop-loss operations, including coordination with third-party carriers and reimbursement tracking.
•Own the billing inbox, client inquiries, AR aging reports, and ACH processing.
•Maintain billing trackers, prepare reports, and support accurate month-end financial reporting.
•Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Client Services, and Operations to resolve complex billing issues.
•Analyze billing trends and variances, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
•Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal financial controls.
HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
•Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, or related field preferred.
•2 years of billing, accounting, or administrative experience.
•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and the ability to analyze large data sets efficiently.
•Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including reconciliations, accruals, and revenue tracking.
•Strong client communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain billing details, resolve questions professionally, and maintain positive client relationships.
•Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify discrepancies, research root causes, and implement corrective actions.
•Demonstrated process improvement orientation — proactively identifying inefficiencies and recommending workflow enhancements.
•High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage repetitive or detail-heavy tasks while maintaining precision.
•Ability to work with complex data sets in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment without sacrificing quality.
