Swing Shift Forklift Operator
Full-Time | Fife, WA | $21.00/hr | Mon–Fri, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
About the Role
We are hiring a Swing Shift Forklift Operator for a wholesale distributor in Fife, WA. This is a forklift-driven role in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. You’ll be operating unique double pallet jack forklifts to move and stage finished product throughout the facility, with some general warehouse assistance involved as part of the normal shift flow.
One thing that makes this opportunity unique: the ideal candidate will begin training on the AM shift to learn the operation thoroughly before transitioning to the swing shift (Mon–Fri, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM). Strong forklift skills are a definite plus!
Key Responsibilities
• Operate double pallet jack forklifts to move, stage, and organize finished product throughout the facility
• Ensure product is accurately staged, secured, and properly wrapped for storage or outbound shipment
• Support loading and unloading of product in an organized and efficient manner
• Identify and communicate any damaged or mishandled product per established procedures
• Assist with general warehouse tasks as part of normal shift operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
• Follow all safety programs, PPE requirements, and workplace policies consistently
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong forklift operation skills required; experience with double pallet jack forklifts a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or production warehouse environment
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to job duties and safety procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Commitment to safe work practices and consistent adherence to PPE and safety policies
Education & Experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 year of forklift operation or warehouse experience preferred
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the role will be considered
Physical Demands
• Regularly required to stand, walk, and remain on your feet throughout the shift
• Must be able to use hands, arms, and fingers to handle materials and operate equipment
• Close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus required
• May work in elevated areas and occasional outdoor weather conditions
• Occasional assistance with general warehouse tasks as needed
