What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Construction Supervisor position at MOTIVE ENERGY LLC?
Reviews and validates quotes received from Estimating.
Returns quotes with recommended changes to Estimating (prior to bid submittal).
Performs bid walks.
Liases with departments and teams prior to commencement, as necessary, to ensure proper SOW (scope of work).
Conducts regular inspection walks, including pre-construction.
Orders and schedules delivery of needed equipment.
Coordinates parts and material acquisition and delivery with internal departments.
Ensures equipment is available or has been rented to complete daily tasks (Skid steer, Mini Ex, dump trailers, cranes, etc.).
Obtains (or confirms possession of) required permits.
Acts as main point for communications between company and field.
Supervises and coordinates field personnel for, and oversees, daily construction activities.
Inspects work for quality assurance.
Reviews project progress to ensure timely completion.
Ensures adherence to safety policies.
Investigates and resolves issues or complaints.
Verifies that internal and external policies are followed (JSA’s, MOP’s, call in’s, dailies, tail gate meetings, etc.
Performs ADP employee timecard approval based on scheduled work.
Ensures build timelines are met.
Monitors head count.
Assists with COP’s Construction Manager.
Quotes jobs/new projects.
Monitors the project budget when ordering material, subs, etc.
Maintain financial oversight and true-up estimates with project progress.
Drives schedule and completes projects on time.
Participates in final building permit inspection and sign off.
Completes closeout process, participating in final review and project acceptance.
Upon project completion, invites customer to inspect completed work, and with gained approval, notifies office to initiate billing.
Creates Bill of Materials for individual projects.
Makes timely replies to emails and phone calls.
Prods crew for completion of high priority closeouts
Compiles and submits completion documentation in a timely manner.
Orders all materials in advance.
Checks for budgetary allowances of overtime before granting approvals.
Sends per diem requests for global cash cards.
Provides onsite instruction and training.
Site walks with customers on potential projects.
Maintains customer relationships and inquires about future projects.
Regularly communicates regarding project progress and any needed alterations to completion dates.
All other duties as required.
