About the Role
Motivation Compliance & Training, Inc. is seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Labor Standards & Compliance Intern to support our Labor Standards and Compliance team. This full-time paid internship provides hands-on experience with Davis-Bacon compliance, certified payroll processing, HUD Section 3 requirements, MWBE reporting, and construction compliance administration.

Responsibilities
- Assist with collecting, reviewing, and organizing certified payroll documentation
- Support data entry, processing, and recordkeeping for prevailing wage projects
- Maintain organized electronic compliance files and project documentation
- Communicate with contractors and clients regarding missing documentation or compliance requirements
- Track project deadlines, submissions, and reporting schedules
- Support monitoring of Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage compliance requirements
- Assist with HUD Section 3 and MWBE participation tracking and reporting
- Help identify, document, and escalate compliance discrepancies
- Participate in compliance training sessions, meetings, and project follow-ups
- Provide administrative support to compliance specialists and managers as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Currently pursuing, recently completed, or holding an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- College enrollment preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to manage confidential information professionally
- Strong written, verbal, and customer service communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous administrative, compliance, payroll, construction, or office support experience is preferred but not required
- Interest in labor compliance, affordable housing, construction administration, or workforce compliance
- Adaptive and open-minded toward learning and utilizing new technologies, systems, and software platforms, with a strong interest in improving and streamlining processes and workflows
Compensation & Internship Details
- Full-time paid internship position
- Annual salary: $30,000
- Standard 40-hour workweek; overtime is not anticipated or authorized
- Internship duration is approximately 6 months, with potential opportunity for extension or transition into a full-time role based on performance and company needs
- No additional employee benefits are included with this internship position

Work Environment & Travel
This position may require up to 25% travel for conferences, training opportunities, client meetings, and office visits. All approved business travel expenses will be paid or reimbursed by the company.
