We are looking to hire full-time Mobile E-Bike Mechanics (Service Technicians II) who will be responsible for providing best-in-class customer service while performing repairs on various light electric vehicles (LEVs), including e-bikes/trikes, e-quads, and cargo trailers. The right person for the job will be comfortable traveling to and working at assigned customer locations within the greater New York City area. The starting work schedules are for day and evening shifts, 4 days a week and 10-hour shifts. Please note that schedules may be subject to change based on business need.
About the Position
- Provide an incredible customer experience under all conditions, professional and conversational while providing maintenance and repair services
- Perform inspection, diagnosis, repair and complete overhaul on various LEVs, with the ability to quickly become proficient in servicing customized vehicles
- Document customer interactions and track/invoice services performed
- Accurately manage inventory levels
- Work unsupervised in remote locations with a high level of productivity
- Travel regularly within the local geographic area to provide services to customers
About You
- You bring expertise with previous training / experience as an e-bike mechanic (or similar, such as a motorcycle, scooter, or auto mechanic) in a high-volume environment with a dedication to quality of repair and service
- You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention for detail and follow-through
- You exhibit a strong work ethic and internal drive with the ability to work autonomously with a high level of productivity and self-accountability
- You value safety in all work activities, following all safety regulations and policies/procedures
- You can safely and comfortably ride an e-bike, or e-trike, with a cargo trailer throughout the New York City metropolitan area
- You have a current driver's license and can meet the Motor Vehicle Record requirements, and can safely operate a large vehicle (such as a cargo van or truck) throughout the New York City metropolitan area
- You can demonstrate the ability to lift and carry to 75 pounds, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, stand, bike, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
