Job Duties
- Analyze customer complaints and investigate field failures - translate learnings into actionable engineering and customer-facing solutions. Represent the voice of the customer and coordinate corrective / preventive actions, follow-ups, and timely reporting
- Support suppliers in 8D responses and conduct regular quality update meetings, including written investigation reports and assuring effectiveness of supplier corrective actions
- Track all quality escalations, create accurate assessments, provide efficient responses and drive effective resolutions to meet customer expectations. Lead cross-functional meetings to discuss critical issues and delegate actions for product quality and process performance improvement
- Maintain baseline factory KPI metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.) and identify areas of opportunity for improvement assuring clearly documented identification, control, and disposition of nonconformities
- Identify critical assembly defects, track product performance and communicate key learnings and developments to appropriate workflows for responses and corrective actions
- Analyze electrical systems, diagnose critical malfunctions, and conduct electrical tests to investigate and resolve customers product issues.
- Troubleshoot motors, drives and systems using diagnostic equipment to determine root cause and corrective actions
- Conduct critical analysis on engineering changes (ECNs) to ensure specified changes have no impact on degradation of product quality or required function. Act as a product "expert" for cross-functional team member technical questions and concerns
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electrical engineering, electromechanical, manufacturing engineering or a related engineering field
- 3 years of engineering experience, preferably at a manufacturing company
- Exceptional analytical capability, problem solving skills, and root-cause analysis including, FMEAs, 8Ds, SPC and 5 Whys
- Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate corrective & preventive action (CAPA), customer complaints, and product improvement activities within the organization
- Demonstrated understanding of product design change and document change control, product and process verification and validation, and production process control methodologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SharePoint a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, high impact environment
- May require travel and specific safety training to work in dangerous and extreme environment conditions while collecting data or commissioning new systems at the customer’s location.

- Compensation is from $80,000 to $110,000 annually
