One of our clients, a leading manufacturer of aerospace and defense products, is hiring a Software Engineer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa!
This is a 6-month contract with benefits!
In this role, you will perform design, requirements, validation, and verification tasks for MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics while supporting cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders. You will also execute platform-specific testing, investigate lab hardware integrations, and utilize engineering tools such as TNT, DOORS, JIRA, PREP, and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform design, requirements, validation, and verification tasks for MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics, supporting cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders.
- Execute platform-specific testing, including requirements-based, robustness, and ad-hoc testing in lab environments.
- Investigate lab hardware integrations and utilize engineering tools such as TNT, DOORS, JIRA, PREP, SVN, and Microsoft Office.
Requirments:
- Systems Engineering experience in avionics or aerospace.
- STEM degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429.
