What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Product Designer position at Motion Recruitment?
Our client, a leader in financial tax software, is looking to hire a Staff Product Designer. This is a hybrid role that will be onsite 3x a week in San Francisco, CA.

As a Staff Product Designer, you will lead the design strategy and execution of high-impact growth initiatives. Your role will involve crafting user-centric experiences that drive scalable growth, collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, and Data Science teams to ensure alignment and excellence in execution.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the design refresh of user flows to ensure a comprehensive and positive user experience
- Develop AI-driven tools and workflows that standardize user activities, enhance workflow efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and drive product adoption
- Leverage data-driven insights from in-depth research on sales operations to identify and address critical pain points and improvement opportunities within sales processes
- Work with cross-functional teams to create a unified customer data system that supports account management strategies tailored to diverse seller archetypes
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design etc.; Master's degree highly valued!
- 7 years of Product/UX Design experience
- Working knowledge of designing using Figma, FigJam, & the Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience using and/or implementing AI in design/product workflows
- Prior experience in the FinTech, SaaS, or Tech industries a huge plus!
