Position Title: Sr. RF Optimization Engineer
Position Duties
Perform RF performance activities in customer projects independently, according to project plan and in project manager’s guidance. Analyze KPIs, investigate and improve network quality problems. Review daily KPI reports and identify sites with performance degradation issues. Implement new features and tune 5G/4G (LTE) radio network parameters. Perform network performance management functions including trending, analysis, monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting. Network performance problem detection and troubleshooting for issues such as throughput issues, drop call rates, and access/reach failures. Utilize Nokia NetAct OSS in alarm management, performance Suite management, and parameter configuration. Create reports and perform deep dive counter-based analysis.
May work from home up to 3 days/week. May perform work at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Work Location: 999 West Big Beaver Rd. Troy, Michigan 48084
Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
Minimum Qualifications: US Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and two (2) years of experience as an RF Engineering professional or substantially similar position.
Special Skill Requirements: Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following: RF optimization for LTE, VoLTE, or 5G; FalconSmart, ACTIX, or Wireshark; 5G optimization covering Sub6 optimization, DSS optimization, and mmWave optimization; Voice over LTE call (VOLTE); 5G NSA and optimization; multi-layer cluster optimization including 5G, LTE, and UMTS; Nokia NetAct OSS, Web Element Manager, CM Editor, or Spectrum Analyzer; MapInfo, Windcatcher, or GSM.
