What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Designer position at Motion Recruitment?
Our client, a well-known accounting and tax software provider, is actively hiring a Senior Service Designer to join their team in San Diego, CA! This role will be hybrid and be on-site 3x a week.
*This is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits and paid holidays offered!*
In this role, you will be improving customer experiences through service design, research, and cross-functional collaboration. You will own the service design for assigned application tracks and produce high-quality service blueprints, current and future-state journey maps, workflow diagrams, and use-case inventories.
Responsibilities:
- Map end-to-end experience across pre and post-product touchpoints, including the tools, escalation paths, identity verification, and compliance checks
- Partner with product managers, operations leads, compliance teams, app owners, and business stakeholders to extract what you need
- Craft non-leading interview guides and facilitate working sessions
- Interpret metrics and make data-informed decisions about design direction while collaborating with data partners to ensure designs account for what the data says
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 years of service design experience
- Proficiency with Figma
- AI acumen is a plus
