In this role, you’ll develop deeply reliable flight software that controls how the spacecraft behaves—from orbit to reentry. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle: capturing requirements, architecting real-time systems, writing C for bare metal, RTOS, or Linux environments, and validating mission-critical code for safety and performance. Core Requirements
- Proficiency in C and experience with real-time or embedded systems
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on software development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable writing structured, hardware-near software (bare metal, RTOS, or Linux)
- Able to define software architecture and own systems from design to flight
- Developing or testing flight software or safety-critical aerospace systems
- Familiarity with V&V techniques and real-time operating constraints
- Deep understanding of computer architecture, networks, and OS fundamentals
- A solid base in math and physics
- Passion for space, autonomy, and pushing the frontier of what software can do
